A timeless classic from the golden age of Swedish boatbuilding
M/Y Mufflaren is a classic saloon motorboat designed by C.G. Pettersson and built in 1929 at the Sjöexpress shipyard on Lidingö. Pettersson also designed a careful rebuild in 1934, giving her the larger superstructure and raised foredeck that define her profile today.
Built in Honduras mahogany, Mufflaren reflects the craftsmanship of her era. Her slender lines, straight bow and distinctive Pettersson silhouette make her a piece of Swedish design history on the water.
Over the years, Mufflaren has had home ports in the Stockholm archipelago, Österskär and Eskilstuna. At one time she was used for hospitality associated with the Gense factory. Today she is based in Vaxholm.
Careful maintenance has kept Mufflaren in very good condition. Her current owner has preserved her original character while making her available for private trips.
Mufflaren received cultural heritage recognition in 2021 and is also listed in the Motor Yacht Society’s archive.
